“Beauty will save the world” is the heart of the story of “Giants”. Art is the harmony that settles conflicts, the power of beauty that erases ugliness. “Giants” begins here. In the early 1500s, the young apprentice Michelangelo Buonarroti finds himself in a storeroom where a massive marble monolith seems to speak to him: “Set me free!” Years later, as the city of Florence faces the threat of enemy invasion, the young sculptor returns from Rome and answers the marble’s call, completing the titanic statue of David. The statue will unexpectedly come to life and will fight against the giant built by the enemies to defend their city and bring harmony and peace back.
